Professionals bring the many dimensions of themselves to their work. People particularly need space held for their whole authentic selves to show up during times of change and transition. Everyone benefits when changes within an organization are processed with:

  • integrity (to what extent will I/we/organization stay whole and intact during the change?)

  • openness (what will be lost? what does that bring up? what is possible? what do I feel, think, hope for, and envision?) and

  • connection (how are my/our relationships and roles impacted? how we will use this change as an opportunity to grow with and nurture one another?)

When we do not give authentic process and voice to those at the center of the work, issues arise with trust, communication, and shared commitment that compromise the individual and the collective. Ultimately, the vision of the organization becomes unclear, individuals lose sense of efficacy and connection, and important work becomes that much harder. People suffer. Even and especially when an organization dies—comes to the end of its life cycle or becomes unrecognizable—a facilitated process helps individuals move forward in a way that more fully honors them as humans at the center of the work.

Jess’ work particularly with schools and non-profits has given unique insight and compassion into the impact of change on human beings at every level of organizational change. Leaders needs safe places to process and plan just as do service providers and those served. Together we can craft a process that allows for deepened humanity, effectiveness in achieving shared goals (even and especially if the goal is closure), and fulfillment.
